Starting a MS Teams transcription

To start an MS Teams transcription during a meeting:

  • Click on the three-dot “More” menu

  • Select the option Record and transcribe > Start Transcription to enable transcript generation without recording the video

  • Select the language in which the conversation will be held for optimal results

Your transcription will be shown live in the chat, and also automatically compiled when the meeting ends.

Start transcription unavailable due to org policy? Follow the steps below to enable transcription in your Microsoft Teams Admin Centre. If in doubt, ask your IT administrator or contact our support team.
