IT admins can follow the steps below to grant required permissions for the Spott platform to fetch transcribed meetings and automatically sync them in our platform.

  • Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center here, and sign in with an account that has the necessary administrative privileges, such as Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator.
  • In the left-hand navigation pane, navigate toIdentity > Applications > Enterprise Applications, which should look like the below

  • Use the search box to find the Spott application by name. Select the application from the search results to open its overview page.

Spott not appearing in your list of current Enterprise Applications? Follow the steps at the bottom of this page first before continuing further.

  • In the application’s navigation pane, select Permissions under the Security section.
  • Review the permissions that the application requires. Ensure that Transcripts.Read.All is listed among them.

  • If you agree with the requested permissions (and you have the permissions to grant them), you should select the Grant admin consent button.

By following these steps, the necessary permissions will be granted to your application, allowing it to access the required resources for all users in your organization. Users will no longer be prompted to review the permissions individually.

Adding Spott as Enterprise Application

If no user on the platform has ever had a successful access attempt for any permission level, the Spott application may not automatically appear in the Enterprise Applications list because a service principal has never been established.

The easiest way to resolve this is by creating an account in your companies’ Spott tenant, and connecting to MS Teams through theSettings > Integrations page. This will redirect you to Microsoft SSO. Since you have admin privileges, the permissions popover should also show a checkbox to Grant Admin Consent for your tenant.

After a successful connection has been made, a service principal for Spott will have been created in your Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). The Spott application will now also show up in your organization’s Enterprise Applications list.
