Enabling MS Teams in the Admin Centre

Facing issues to start transcription because of org policy? You have come to the right place.

If you are an administrator yourself, you can follow the steps below:

  • Visit the Microsoft Teams Admin Center (https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/)

  • Log into your work account

  • In the search box, look for Transcription and navigate to Meetings > Meeting policies

  • Select to manage for Everyone in my organization

  • Under the Recording & transcription tab you will find a toggle to turn on transcription (see below)

Microsoft usually has a delay to propagate changes in these settings to your actual account. This means that even though you have now enabled transcription, it might still take up to 48 hours for the Transcribe button to become visible for all users. This is normal and can unfortunately not be expedited.
